En Foco and The BxArts Factory present The Story Unveiled: Illuminating Womxn’s Narratives, an exhibition hosted at The BxArts Factory from March 7 – March 31, 2024. The Story Unveiled highlights womxn’s stories that have often been woven into the background of history. Overshadowed by dominant narratives that fail to capture the depth and diversity of their lived experiences. Six contemporary artists employ their diverse practices to illuminate the multifaceted dimensions of womxn’s lives. Through a variety of mediums, these artists embark on a profound journey of self-discovery, intertwining their personal narratives with broader histories echoing the sentiment that the personal is indeed political. Featuring the works of Stephanie Ayala (she/her), Lizzy Alejandro (she/her), Leenda Bonilla (she/they), Tasha Dougé (she/her), Katherine Miranda (they/he), and Sofie Vasquez (she/her). Co-curated by Kay Hickman (she/her) and Laura Alvarez (she/her).

On view: March 7 – March 31, 2024
