Founded in 1974, En Foco makes the work of BIPOC photographers visible to the art world while creating access to under-served communities. Curator-At-Large 

The Curator-at-Large (CAL) consultant’s position is organized to interface with key staff and provide them with valuable leadership development in elevating core programs – Nueva Luz, exhibitions, Fellowship and Media Art Fund financial support initiatives- and expanding its capabilities of serving artists and communities, an organizational priority. The CAL candidate will bring a knowledge base of professional photography trends, an introduction to arts leadership, and access to curators, gallerists, archivists, and other photography/visual arts professionals that expand En Foco staff’s skills base while broadening the organizational culture’s depth with the infusion of new cultural assets and integrated resources.

Nueva Luz Editorial Consultant

Nueva Luz is an ongoing art publication that addresses social and cultural issues at the fore of photography, with a particular emphasis on narratives from artists of color, it is central to En Foco’s mission. The Nueva Luz Editorial Consultant is responsible for overseeing the vision and perspective of our Nueva Luz Photographic Journal production; including communications with artists and writers, overseeing editing content, verifying accuracy and meeting publishing deadlines. This position helps us build a network of experts in arts publications and appropriate contacts that expand our artistic reach. The role works closely with the Managing Director and the publication’s designer to define a long-term vision for our publication, representing the dynamic voices of the time.

Grants and Development Manager

The Grant/Development Manager will develop and draft funding requests to public and private funding sources with guidance and direction from the Managing Director. The Grants/Development Manager will serve as the key staff person responsible for assisting the planning and outlining of En Foco’s development strategies and calendar and will work cooperatively with program staff to help identify funding opportunities for sustaining existing programs and developing new program initiatives, publications, exhibitions, and archival work.
