The works chosen for this En Foco Touring Gallery exhibition, offers a chance for individuals to enjoy the life-affirming pleasures of viewing art, in an environment not traditionally thought of as an art gallery.

Dr. Archer Irby of University Place Chiropractic, the host venue of this exhibition, states that art is a universal form of language, and it shows diversity. “I want my patients to experience that diversity and expose them to photography as a fine art … also, these images allow them to not focus on their pain but instead take in the beauty and uniqueness that each images casts and open discussion about things other than their current situation. It gives them glimpse of other cultures which is something I enjoy too, and am happy to give them that relief.”

En Foco’s Touring Gallery program brings photographic arts to public spaces throughout New York City. Founded in 1974, its programs are funded in part by the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, the National Endowment for the Arts, the New York State Council on the Arts, the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, the Bronx Council on the Arts, the Carnegie Corporation of NY, public support by Senator Jose M. Serrano, the Association of Hispanic Arts/JP Morgan Chase, the National Association of Latino Arts & Culture, Daniele Agostino Derossi Foundation, Lowepro, Bogen, and its members, subscribers and friends.
