This exhibition is a culmination of En Foco’s 2004 New Works Photography Awards program, an annual award which selects four photographers of African, Asian, Latino or Native American heritage through a national call for entries. It provides artists with the support to create new work and the infrastructure needed for a professional exhibition in the New York area. The event is free and open to the public.

The artists are being recognized for exploring cultural themes emanating from their individual experiences. In addition to the New York exhibition, they have also received an honorarium, photographic supplies from Bogen, Print File, Lowepro and Tiffen.
