With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Charles Biasiny-Rivera, Director Emeritus of En Foco, who left us on August 10, 2024. Charles was a visionary and an unwavering advocate for the arts, dedicating his life to fostering diversity and supporting emerging artists.

As one of the founders of En Foco, Charles played a pivotal role in nurturing and showcasing the work of countless artists, leaving an indelible mark on the cultural landscape. His passion for photography and commitment to elevating underrepresented voices have inspired many and will continue to influence the art world.

Charles was a respected leader and a cherished mentor, friend, and family member. His legacy of kindness, creativity, and dedication will live on through the countless lives he touched and the vibrant community he helped build.  A memorial service celebrating the remarkable life and contributions of Charles Biasiny-Rivera will take place on August 31, 2024, from 1 – 3 pm at Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401.
