Job Overview: Immersive Technologies Program Coordinator, Part-time

En Foco is seeking a part-time Immersive Technologies Program Coordinator to assist with our developing community engagement plan. The Immersive Tech Coordinator will be responsible for organizing meetings and acting as a liaison between En Foco, its partner organizations, artists, and the community. The coordinator will also be responsible for aiding in the development, implementation, and documentation of the upcoming Immersive Tech Community Engagement Plan, which is designed to introduce, inform, and investigate the applications of Immersive Technologies
to provide the South Bronx community with information, access, and support to new immersive technologies. The role of the Immersive Technologies Program Coordinator relies heavily on identifying and building relationships with new audiences and communities typically excluded from other mainstream tech-based initiatives, who stand to benefit the most from the Community Engagement Plan. We are looking to hire someone organized and detail-oriented who will create and nurture relationships within the growing community of artists and professionals.

Position requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in photography, digital media, technology, or a related field Three years of work experience as a program coordinator or similar
  • Expert at targeted communications and advertising campaigns across various media platforms
  • Demonstrable experience with building effective media campaigns

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the research, setup, and execution of all program phases
  • Create and maintain an organized system to include dates, descriptions, locations, and content for all materials
  • Organize and host meetings with community partners
  • Assist with the development and lead community outreach opportunities
  • Assist with the organizing of several informational sessions across community venues
  • Organize public programming, including programs developed with marketing staff and industry professionals
  • Collaborate with community partners to identify and engage with targeted constituents
  • Work closely with En Foco staff to develop and execute new strategic marketing plans, campaigns, and programs

Qualifications:

  • Solid technical understanding or hands-on experience in photography, digital and new media.
  • Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Adobe Suite, and other editing software
  • Ability to work on projects independently and with minimal direction
  • A partner who can work with a small team on project execution
  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks
  • A high level of discretion and confidentiality
