Aubrey J. Kauffman speaks about his series Shore Points and Urbanscapes taken on the boardwalks and streets of Asbury Park, New Jersey during the 1980s and 90s in the latest installment of our Artist Interview Series.
In collecting images that sometime speak to the desolation and the absence of human interaction, I have looked to expand the vocabulary that defines this experience, and serve as a documentation of the changing urban landscape. Architectural details and open spaces are an on-going theme that capture my interest and my interpretation ranges from abstract to formal. –Aubrey J. Kauffman
